Bobby is amazing. I picture myself in a previous life as a teenage girl at the front row watching him perform, proper SWOON. RIP Bobby, never bettered.

I grew up in the 60's. "If I Were a Carpenter" still brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear it. The song is my favorite of Bobby Darin's songs although his others were also good -- great voice and talent. It is a tragedy that his life ended so soon.

The song ?? I like ?? from Bobby Darin is “Splish Splash ?? “ and the song ?? reminds me of the 1970 song ?? Rubber Duckie” sung by Ernie on “Sesame Street.”

Gratefully Yours,

Puh-lease, let me know if you know for sure who recorded "Moon River" first Bobby of Frank Sinatra. You see, I have this absolute strong belief, even though I've not read or heard anyone speak or write of it that Sinatra was truly envious, jealous, whatever of Darin. Knowing this will satisfy my mind that I've been either right or maybe wrong all along. The problem is Sinatra I believe recorded this in '64, when did Bobby record his version? The best I could get was from secondhandsongs.com (https://secondhandsongs.com/work/148/versions) They have it 1999 and of course Bobby was gone by then where they state "Released more than 10 years after its recording," so, when was that recording. I personally would like to think Bobby recorded it before Sinatra. Because I get the feeling Sinatra never did a cover of a song if Bobby covered the song first. I could be wrong but I really would like to know if you guys could find out when Bobby recorded this. BTW, my feelings about this is because Sinatra sang Mack the Knife after Bobby was gone, he wouldn't do it with Bobby alive. Maybe I'm just an overboard Darin fan! Wayne Arhur
